Recently the idea of a contemporary Bohemian style wedding has become one of the major trends of today’s wedding environment but it is a rare occasion that every piece of a wedding can come together to create a wholly cohesive and beautiful display that evolves into a work of art. MiHi Entertainment recently had the pleasure of being a part of a very unique photoshoot that displayed the epitome of the Bohemian outdoor wedding. We are also very happy to be featured by Couture Colorado who described this great shoot as “an elegant, chic, yet organic and natural outdoor theme.” Bohemian style weddings are all the rage these days but those that are willing to journey outside of the classical boho look are the ones that really take the (wedding) cake. Cottonwood Grove on Plum Creek and the vendors they work with are some of the best at taking a conventional style and developing it into an authentic boho experience like no other.
A Charming Locale
Cottonwood Grove on Plum Creek is located in Sedalia, Colorado, and features a warm aesthetic that blends together the old-world charm and modern amenities and design ideas. Cottonwood Grove is the ideal location for those that look forward to the future while appreciating the past. This venue is located on a forty-acre ranch and is one of the premier outdoor wedding spaces to consider when looking for a one-of-a-kind location. As the name implies, the venue is surrounded by a grove of cottonwood trees that can match many wedding styles and is the perfect setting for classic wedding photography. In the case of their latest photoshoot, they decided upon a bohemian styled wedding with every detail considered. This unique setting provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic shoot.
With such a stunning locale and well thought out ambiance, it is only natural that an exceptional photographer be the one to shoot such a great day. Stori with Stori H Photography is a Colorado native that has been capturing the pure essence of her clientele for many years. Her portfolio is grand and it is clear that she takes on each wedding as a story that should be told in its own right. Stori uses her photography as a way to capture the actual ways that people feel and shows who they are through her work. To Stori, this isn’t just a job but passion and it’s very clear when you see her work. She is accomplished in being able to pose her subjects and create beautiful dynamics with light, color, and angles, all while being relaxed and keeping things fun. This means whether you’re an experienced model or an awkward shot (like some of us), she can capture the special moments in life without the stress of worrying about the quality of the photo.

We all know that these moments are fantastic only happen once in a lifetime and when you are just thinking about your amazing future you don’t want to be worrying about the little things. This is where Laura McCasland comes in. Laura is the Founder, Owner, and Lead Coordinator for McArthur Weddings and Events. Laura found herself coordinating events by accident, even before she was working in the business and began her career as a teacher! She is known as an extremely level-headed and calm Coordinator on the wedding day and attributes this to patience, planning, and foresight that she learned in the classroom. She has a passion for weddings and events as these are times that people can come together and the teacher inside is always encouraging this kind of interaction as she believes that we can all learn a little from each other. The idea of people coming together is the story of every wedding and this is the story Laura loves to tell.
The Vintage Booth
At MiHi Entertainment we were extremely excited to be a part of this amazing shoot and love working with such professional vendors. We were happy to provide one of our favorite booths that fit the atmosphere perfectly. Our Vintage Tigerwood booth is another example of the old-world meets new. With a vintage 1920’s baffle and camera style the Tigerwood booth is great for any Boho, 1920’s, or Gatsby themed party. Our Vintage style booths are designed to give the experience of an elegant soiree or a speakeasy jamboree. MiHi takes great pride in the procurement of these Vintage booths while integrating modern camera technology to allow for crisp and charming photos that can be shared with friends and family through online galleries or printed on the spot!
It is always delightful to be a part of such a gorgeous day and to help make an experience that displays the works of so many talented individuals. We were happy that our Tigerwood Vintage Photo Booth fit in with the glamorous vendors, themes, and color pallets that were featured at the charming Plum Creek photoshoot.
