So, you’re having an event in Colorado. You want to truly represent Colorful Colorado to all your guests by finding a venue that is both rustic and elegant. One with gorgeous views, a lot of wooden architecture and history emanating through the entire property. Well, our friends at Spruce Mountain Ranch are exactly what you want and more! Spruce Mountain Ranch is a premier ranch style venue ideal for weddings and corporate events of any size.

They stand apart from your typical all-purpose venue by offering a wide variety of spaces within two separate properties located over a mile apart, each offering magnificent hand-crafted detail and state of the art conveniences. How can they offer two separate properties, each with their own unique venue spaces? Spruce Mountain Ranch actually spans over 450 acres of gorgeous, cultivated Colorado plains and greenery, dotted with their signature ranch lodges. This makes it a picture-perfect backdrop for a ceremony, reception, outdoor group party, and all the professional photos you’re getting of the event. It’s classic Colorado architecture and landscapes wrapped up in one property.

And it’s not just pretty to look at- it’s chock full of history that will make you feel more connected to the venue you’ll be making all those special memories in. First sectioned off as a ranch property in 1871, it began its life as thousands of acres of cattle raising land and wheat and oat fields. Over more than a hundred years, it passed hands and changed names until in 1999 Tom and Lois Ames purchased the property. Their ultimate goals in maintaining the lands was to sustain a purebred Angus seed stock operation, as well as create a distinct landscape and resort-like atmosphere for family, guests, and potential customers to enjoy. And in the past 21 years we think they’ve done exactly that.
